Hi, I have a newly built PC and since it was built for the last couple weeks my graphics card suddenly stops sending signal and then cuts back on. Also sometimes when it blacks out it does not come back on but it turns off my keyboard and mouse so I would have to restart my computer to get it back on.

I have a: GTX 1060 (MSI) 3gb, I5-6402p 2.8 Ghz, 8 gb ram (2x4), and I know my computer isn't capable of using integrated graphics.

Any help would be appreciated, and also it seems like it likes to black out more while not using as much power. Just like watching youtube, chrome, or anything like that seems to cause it more.

If it's effecting your keyboard and mouse it may be more than the card. I'm not sure but have you overclocked any of it?

If not, my next question is have you used memtest to test the ram or done a stress test on the cpu to verify stability of those particular pieces of equipment?

Look up the memtest freeware and use it to test your ram. That'll require a blank disc or flash drive. If that comes back with ANY errors your ram may be bad. It's also possible the Mobo is bad. What Mobo do you have.

If that turns up zero errors, or even if it gives some, go in Windows and download CPUz. Go to the second to last tab and hit the stress or verify button. Can't remember off the top of my head what it is. It's in the second part of that window, not the "single thread"
If that causes instability or crashing then your cpu might be bad or even the mobo in that case.

Also, key here, what PSU are you using?

It only does that 1/200 times. it just flashes on no signal with everything still running and it comes back on. Im almost positive its the graphics caRD

Had a similar problem, fixed it by turning off hardware acceleration in my browser, worth a try.

How do you turn off hardware accelerator?? I'm hearing this answer alot for this problem which I also have but cant find the option to do it in windows 10 or on my GPU settings (using AMD Vega 56)

Thanks for the help and hopefully I can finally sort this problem!!

hey, i stumbled upon this thread and i have the same problem, difference being, i have two monitors, and only one of them losing signal for a few seconds once in a while, its not a huge problem, just mildly frustrating, another contrast is that, i think its my monitors fault, i swapped my hdmi cables around from both monitors and still, the problem only occurred on the one (same one)

ps: this wasnt a problem when i got this monitor, it only started happening around a month ago
