Hi all, replaced most of my PC recently from an I7-8700k & 3070 to a Ryzen 9800X3D & 9070 XT and I've found infrequently my monitor turns off for a few seconds before turning back on.
I have a Corsair 750Watt PSU and have only increased the power limit, no overclocking

Check to see what other plugs your room/wall plug is shared with, if it's on the same circuit as an air condition unit or a fridge or something with a big motor then it might lose signal sometimes when the motor turns on.
Hah I have no idea how to check that, though I doubt it's shared with anything as it's in the Bedroom far away from the fridge which is most likely the only high power thing we have in the flat, no air conditioning or anything like that

Fridges use very little power compared to what the circuit you PC on is capable of, and your PC also uses little power in comparison. Unless you have a 1500w air heater connected to the same circuit I would assume that is a non-issue.

It's not about the power draw, a motor turning on can cause a voltage drop or even just noise, a PC PSU will be able to cope with that but not every monitor or other electronics can.

You can read more here and as always google is you friend.

Does the monitor say no signal or something similar to that when it goes black for a few seconds? Have you gone through that monitors settings to make sure there is no Ecco settings or sleep setting that look weird?
So I have reseated my GPU, CPU and Ram, checked all power cables, display cables everything inside my PC and used different DP on my GPU and it's still happening, plugging my monitor into my motherboard means I use the onboard graphics and there's not really a game I can sit and play for 8+ hours to check if it may do it again so I'm kind of at a loss.
The monitor did seem to actually power down though rather then go idle but I'd again have to double check as I wasn't quite quick enough. Feeling quite down about it all to be honest though my thought is that it must be my monitor because my secondary monitor is staying powered on and if it were anything hardware wise surely it would make most sense for both monitors to go idle at the same time?

There are only 2 things it could be at this point:
1. The monitor itself is going bad or has some weird issue with some other device on the circuit as @TerryLaze described.
2. The graphics card is having some issue. Did you try a different port on the card than you used before for that particular monitor?
