[SOLVED] Monitor refresh-rate problem

hi,i have a hp 22es monitor which is 60 hz. it is not very smooth so tried ocing its refresh rate.. i first took it to 65 hz which was stable. but aftersome time a message pops up like no input signal found. and it goes to sleep..i dont why this happens even if my monitor is responding after the message..and it doesnt support freesync. any possible fix?

How did you take it to 65Hz to begin with? That monitor is probably not capable of being overclocked. A 60Hz monitor should stay at 60Hz.

Evidently it doesn't like anything over 60 Hz.
Specs sheet for that monitor shows only 60Hz as well:

Native resolution (recommended)​

1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz (Full HD)​

Consider buying a better quality monitor. Mine's an Acer set to 60Hz and I detect no flicker whatsoever.
