My monitor resolution 1336 x 768 [ LG 19 inch],

I have some movies which have a resolution of 1280 x 580 , 1280 x 560 etc.. which looks good in my monitor,

Now my question is if i have to play the same movies in 19/21/24/27/29 inch monitor which has 1920x1080 resolution will that notice any difference,,,

Is monitor resolution and video resolution are same ?

Thank you,

Video is typically scaled to match your monitor resolution (if the video is set to fullscreen). Running a higher resolution monitor just means that the video will be upscaled more. Video players handle this pretty well. I doubt you will notice a difference in video quality truly. If anything it will look better on the higher resolution monitors, some may argue this.

Just don't attempt to lower your monitor resolution in order to attempt to match the Video resolution. This will make it look stretched and weird.
Lets just say it this way. the bigger your monitor is - the more your video is stretched to fill the screen. Now the video resolution means how many pixels are for inch so that said if you play a 800x600 video on a 10" monitor it will look good, try to play it on 15,6" and it already looks ugly.
