My new monitor has 3 response time settings: standard, advanced, and ultra fast. Is there any reason not to leave it on ultra fast all the time?

Solution

The point of a fast response time is to reduce ghosting as much as possible, but usually the fastest response time settings cause inverse ghosting rather than reduce it. They only exist to fake out response time tests and inflate the speed numbers, they are not intended to be used by actual people. Depends on the specific monitor though.
