Monitor screen keeps going black

Hello,
Help...i'm a total novice. Today the screen goes black every few seconds, then I touch the curser and it comes back help!

Debi, is it like "a few seconds" or is it after a minute or two? Your power setting could have been changed causing your monitor to turn off after 1 minute.

What was installed recently like in the last 24 hours? Windows update? Driver updates?
