Question Monitor shows as "generic-non-pnp" after updating graphics driver ?

I've just updated the graphics driver and suddnly my monitor turned to "genrinc-non-pnp".
I can't update it's driver as long as i use the nivida driver. I can only change the monitor driver when Windows basic display on. I tried to roll back the nivida driver but that didn't fix it, my monitor is still stuck on "generic non pnp monitor".

The display works fine, it's just the resolution is awful and there are a lot of missing setting in nivida control panel, the entire display tab missing.

so stuck on this and cant change the driver of the monitor ONLY CAN when windows basic display selected. the display working fine but cant change any setting and native resulotion not detected (missing display tap as well on nvidia control panel)

Which GPU. Monitor an Windows version ? Did you clean old driver out before installing or changing to new one. Use DDU first.

one more thing to add whenever i scan for hardware changes on device manager it beep the device plug sound and show the monitor for half a second then beep again the unplug sound

update i tryed i went to bios and used the intgerated card instead of the PCI and it..had same issue but this time when i disable the windows basic display. it detect my mointor just fine .... am completly lost by this whatever i use intergrated or pci aslong the display adapter are enabled/updated my mointor just broke and never show on device manager (if i would say i think the port on the card is the issue ?) ill try downgrade my gpu driver and ill report here

@CountMike i know...ur asleep but ill leave this here sence u were a big help (i found a simi fix i can use the intergrated gpu with mutli display on from bios and i disable the intergrated on device manager) any suggestions are welcomed (i still didint verify if the problem comming from gpu or driver or even a buggy system update)..edit nope didint work it use windows basic instead
