[SOLVED] Monitor stopped working after a power surge!

I have a Benq Zowie XL2411P, recently there was a power surge due to lightning, my monitor was working during this time, I actually felt shock or something in my right headphone bud. After this incident my monitor is not working at all, not even showing power indication. The final moments was were I saw the fading of it's LED indicator. But nothing ever happened to my PC and the extension cord. Is my monitor dead? Can I fix it alone by myself? Someone please reply! :/

Was it on a surge protected power strip

Yes, it was connected through fused extension cord. Pretty good quality one.

Can't get it repaired? I've 2yr warranty still left on the product!

You MAY be able to find a fuse inside the monitor very near where the power cord goes in....or send it in and try for a warranty.

If your warranty is still in effect they should cover that but it depends on the company
