Monitor stuck to DVI

My monitor is stuck on a DVI port, but i want to load up VGA I have a Hanns G HL231. Also the monitor isn't being detected the cabled are fully locked into place. please help.

I'm connecting it into my graphics card with a vga converter my graphics card is a 1050ti

VGA out to VGA in ? One of the buttons on the monitor should be for switching imputs.
Most probably need an active converter to connect VGA out to DVI-D on monitor.

I've tried that but the monitor just goes back to dvi-d but it's a vga going into a dvi both the cable and ye converter is brand new out of the packet

They are both plugged and locked so they are not loose connections I have one other display which is my tv which is connected but a hdmi

You can't use both connections on same monitor at once.

No I have two displays one connected to a vga and a tv with a hdmi connected which they are both connected to the graphics card the monitor is stuck on a dvi input which I need to change it to a vga, when I switch the analog to vga is automatically switches back to dvi after the pc is turned on
