Monitor Turning off / on fast

i have an old samsung monitor

today i started building my own pc

when i started it to install windows , it was okay ,
5 minutes after i finished installing windows
the screen started to flash off and on

although when it flash i see my desktop for 0.5 sec
then it goes down for 3 sec then it goes on for 0.5

and so on

i dont know what happened

note :
im pluging my vga to the i5 7500
enternal gpu

my 1060 msi diddnt fit into huntkey x7 900
thats why i diddnt use it

Hi artraitor,

So you have a 1060 but you're using your on-board graphics? Are you aware that if you have it plugged into your motherboard your 1060 isn't being used at all? If you are unable to connect your monitor to your 1060 then either buy an adaptor or buy a new monitor.

im not using the 1060 for now

im depending on the cpu Graphics card

since i cant plug my 1060 into the psu

the problem is the monitor , its flashing ( turning off / on ) i dont know why
