When I can finally move out, I plan on really decking out my living space. After all, I'm gonna be sleeping there for a good portion of my life. I am leaning towards a projector for a home theater vs a large TV. Still not sure. But that's a different discussion in of itself

What do you guys say to connecting your gaming rig to your main TV? I will probably also have a console, so I can just sit back on the couch for casual gaming. I kind of like the idea of doing that with my rig as well. What do you guys think? Anyone have their gaming pc connected to their main TV or do you prefer keeping the home theater/console separate from gaming station? I also don't know if this is the best forum for this question, so correct me if need be.

Thanks in advance.

You can get an xbox 360 controller for the PC, they sell them on Amazon. Steam has a big picture mode that is made for sitting back on the couch while on the TV and uses a nifty onscreen keyboard controller from the controller. Most newer games have xbox 360 controller support. I use a ps3 controller sometimes with motioninjoy to emulate a xbox 360 controller. You can get a little stand or something for a wireless keyboard and mouse and it will be fine. Just increase the DPI of Windows if you are having trouble reading small text.

I have considered this. I'm not too worried about the peripherals for now. Just whether or not I should separate the gaming setup and my hypothetical/dream home theater setup. Just trying to get this all planned out so I know what I need to look for in terms of space.
