Question Monitor won't show display when a display cable is plugged in video card cable port.

My monitor won't show display when I plug my DVI cable to my video card port, but when I plug the same cable to my motherboard with an integrated graphics card, it boots my system. Sorry for my bad English it's not my first language.

Specs involved:
Mobo: Asus B85M-G (Microsoft Basic Display Adapter)
Gpu: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050

Are you plugging monitor cable into MB with 1050 plugged in at same time ?
