So I was messing with the overclocked settings and it was working fine like normal. Then I saw a graphical glitch on the screen and the screen turned off. I couldn't get it to work so I turned everything off then on again. I changed the dvi to an HDMI and still no signal. I have an asus monitor with an i7 and an 1080. The fan and lighting and everything still seem to work fine, I just keep getting the dvi no signal message from my monitor. I had the GPU at 120+ and memory at 600+ using MSI afterburner.

Intel core i7-8700k six core
Nvidia 1080 8gb
16gb ddr4 2400mhz memory
240gb Sata ssd
1tb sata hd
Liquid cooled CPU
Windows 10

Is it possible to fry a dvi cable? The screen "turns on" but just says no dvi signal and then switches th the HDMI but it also says no HDMI signal. The fan, lighting. Still work. I didn't Fry the motherboard, GPU, or CPU right?? Not sure how to tell. I've been looking at a lot of rhigns online and people say that as long as you use msi afterburner, then you really can't mess anything up, so I'm wondering what happened. Ok update I removed and plugged back the GPU and the dvi port has access but the screen still won't display anything.

Ok issue resolved. The video card was damaged during an overclock test. Onboard video and all other functions are still normal including the monitor and cables. New one is being sent free of charge. Lesson to all, be careful when overclocking and do alot of research. .-. Removing the CMOS did help to find the issue so thanks for that suggestion.
