Monitor wont turn on when its on a different computer

Hello!
Recently i had my pc sent back to the company that made it and while its on repair i was gonna use my brothers computer. The only problem is that when i have my monitor plugged in its recognized but it cant be turned on. I have no clue what to do. Its a benq x2411z. Thanks in advance.

What monitor port on your brother's computer are you using? What monitor port does he normally use?

Why must you use your monitor versus his monitor? Is the monitor just borrowed?

Did you right-click the desktop area to enter the graphics card settings? You may need to do some reconfiguration therein.

Ovdrall, I think more information is needed.
