Monitors Go Black When Gaming

Recently and at seemingly random times, both of my monitors will go black, but my computer does not crash. I can still hear background audio, and I can talk to people in discord. This always occurs while gaming. I'm assuming my GPU is crashing.

The strange part is that it was never an issue until recently when I purchased new RAM. I tried to install it but failed (I bought DDR4 when my Mobo only supports DDR3). While I had my computer open I noticed my CPU cooler fans were faced the wrong way so I took them out and corrected it. I also switch my RAM out, but put them in the same slots they were before.

All of that may be completely unrelated, but I cannot figure out why my GPU is crashing. I'm not overclocking it, and the temps are below average. The games that I'm playing are not even that intensive (Kovaak's Aim Trainer and Fortnite).

Could there be something that I did that is causing the new crashes?
