Hello, I just recently built a new PC

The Specs are as followed:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z790 S WiFi DDR4

CPU: Intel Core i9 - 12900KF

GPU: MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4060 8gb

Cooler: NZXT 360mm AIO

PSU: Corsair RM1000x Fully Modular

RAM: Crucial Pro 32GB DDR4 Ram Kit (2x16gb) 2x

Case: NZXT H9 Flow Dual-Chamber ATX Mid-Tower

I know with my previous PC, I didn't have to make any changes, however in this new built two things I am not sure how to change or if it's possible.

1) When I press the lock key on my keyboard it turns off 2 of my three monitors. and while normally after 5 minutes my main monitor will shut off it is now not doing this even though under power options it is currently set to shut off display after 5 minutes.

So how can I verify for sure I have the correct settings enabled, also how can I make sure that when I lock my PC it will indeed turn off the displays, I don't want my computer going to sleep or anything just monitors being turned off.

Thank you!

"Lock key" ?

Do you mean "WIN" + "L" or some other combination of key presses?

What power saving plans or screen savers (if any) are enabled?

Lock Key = Lock Key on keyboard

It has the same action I suppose as "WIN + L"

Screensavers = none

Power Plan = Balanced (Recommended)
Turn off display: 5 Minutes
Put the computer to sleep: 15 minutes

Re:

That is not something that I would take for granted.

The padlock icon on my Logi keyboard does lock the screen.

However, there may be other factors involved with respect to your system and its' configuration.

Make and model keyboard? Drivers?

Directly use "Win" + "L" a few times to determine if there is some difference.

And swap in some other known working keyboard to do more testing.

Overall, the displays being turned off is one thing.

Preventing someone else from logging into your PC and being able to view one or more displays is another.

As another means to troubleshoot: are you able to swap monitors about and determine if the problem follows a particular monitor?
