Hello Fellows
So i ordered

1x 8gb ripjaws 2600mhz

Then i saw
Trident Z rgb and i said heres my money i got
2x 8gb tridentz rgb 3600mhz

Whats your advise throwing in the old 8gb alongside can improve game preformance or not really
Should i sell the old ram or should i hold on to it

Can they even work together

Activated xmp profiles both allrite do get boosts over xmp the rog mobo i have also has its own profiling it can clock them at its own speeds to full speeds also but i usually stay at basic

Mixing and matching RAM does not always work and it will resort to the lowest speed of the modules. So if you match 3600mhz with 2600mhz they will all run at 2600mhz.

If this is for a gaming rig, there is not a game that uses more than 16gb of RAM. So if you went with 24gb, the unused RAM would just sit idle doing nothing.

No. System will default to lowest speed. There isn't much speed improvement for over 16 Gigs memory. If anything populating more banks makes timings even more difficult. You might have to go to a 2T chip select.
