More Ram Stick vs More Ram Speed,

Theoretically leaving all PC components the same, and change only the Ram, which system of this two will perform better:

System_1 : [ 2 * 8GB Ram 3200Hz DDR4 ] = 16GB
System_2: [ 3 * 8GB Ram 2133Hz DDR4 ] = 24GB

Solution
sir if i understand you correctly,

8GB Ram 3200Hz DDR4 25.60GB/s || 16GB = 51.20GB/s
vs
8GB Ram 2133Hz DDR4 17.05GB/s || 24GB = 51.15GB/s

therefor 16GB 3200Hz DDR4 = 24GB 2133Hz DDR4
not really

16GB 3200 = 51.20GB/s
vs
24GB 2133 = 17.05GB/s || 34.1GB/s

therefor 16GB 3200Hz DDR4 > 24GB 2133Hz DDR4
that is simple
system 1:
16GB ram - 51.2GB/s
system 2:
16GB ram - 34.1GB/s
8GB ram - 17.05GB/s
mix of slow and fast ram

now how much ram bandwith you gonna need, that depends on your CPU
if your single core CPU needs 20GB/s to runs at its optimal speed during memory intensive workload, then with system2 it has 33% chance to slow down a bit, and second core would be waiting more frequently then with system 1

if its for gaming...games arent memory intensive workloads, mostly small assets, tho games do like low latencies

system 2 has 24GB, 3 Sticks and all same speed 2133Hz
