Question More than 2 Channels?

I just bought the SteelSeries Arctis 5, and it says it has DTS Headphone:X V2 sound technology with 7.1 Surround. Is it real, or just virtual? Does it have more than 2 channels?

It’s simulated. How can you have 7.1 with only two speakers?
