Hi guys,
Since Friday my laptop has been playing up a lot. It is connected to the Internet and the laptop itself recognises it, but when I try to use Mozilla or IE, the only page that works is Facebook, whereas every other one won't load, as if the Internet were off. Sometimes I can use Google and Wikipedia and every now and then maybe one or two more pages, but then it goes back to saying there is an error loading them as they can't connect to the server.
Skype and Bittorrent seem to be the only two Internet-based applications working, whereas Zune and AVG Antivirus can't connect to the server either. I've run a full scan and a threat was detected, but even after deleting it, the problem is still here.
I've also downloaded Malwarebytes as someone on here had suggested on other occasions, but unfortunately I can't update it for the same reason. I've run a scan with it anyway and, although it found and deleted several threats, it did not solve the issue.
The Internet itself is working as I am using my brother's laptop to ask this question, so there is definitely something wrong with mine.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
