Most scariest horror movie

I found Paranormal Activity (2007) to be quiet scary.
But if you genuinely want to be scared then you should play the computer game named Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

I remember going to see the Exorcist, I went with a friend of mine and as we were waiting to get into the theater the previous viewers were coming out, they had the sickest looks on their faces, a few were even crying.

I looked at my friend and asked him, "What kind of movie is this?", and he didn't have a clue!

We were in the Navy at the time and had just come back from a cruise and went to the theater to see a movie, the Exorcist had a long line to get in so we figured it would be a good movie, we were both extremely high at the time.

The most disturbing part of the entire movie for me was a guy in the theater hysterically laughing through some of the worst of the movie, I just could not imagine what he thought was funny about that movie.

Learned 3 things.

#1 Do not ever take my friends movie going suggestions ever again!
#2 Never go to a movie high, when you are clueless as to what you're about to see!
#3 Look at the peoples faces leaving the movie, it's a direct reflection of what you're going to see!

The Exorcist had a devastating career affect on Linda Blaire, you never looked at her afterwards even in her sweetest roles and separated the Exorcist relation from her.

You always waited for the head to turn around!

He must've been drunk!

What does it take to watch a movie like that? Were you totally paralyzed after watching it, or were you prepared at what you were going to see?

I know I have a LONG!!!!!!! way to go before I can get the courage to watch such a movie 😉

The Exorcist has joined the ranks of a classic horror movie, like Alien was to SciFi even though some classed Alien as SciFi Horror, but to me it was just great SciFi.

Special effect wise it was a ground breaker especially when Linda Blaire's head did a 360, wasn't too fond of pea soup afterwards, but never liked pea soup anyway, so no loss there!

After it was over, it was over, It's just a movie! 😉

Maybe the Evil Dead would be more your cup of tea!

I always find that after watching a movie with something notably scary, it haunts me for a couple of days, but then after that you don't seem to feel scared of it at all.

I wonder how long it takes to get over something like the Exorcist?

Age has a lot to do with how much movies affect you, you're 14 years old, when I was 14 movies had much more impact imprinting on the mind, but today you have much more resources available to you today than when I was 14.

So the movies you see today are more realistic than the movies of my age of 14, so you should be a little on the concerned side of what you decide to watch, I was around 22 when I saw the Exorcist.

The older you get and the more you watch how they put movies together to paint a story in your mind, the more you need to be amazed by the movie for it to really make a difference.

Movies like Avatar should really be some serious eye candy for you, there are a lot of horror movies out there that you probably should avoid, my initial suggestions were not taking into consideration that you are 14 years old!

Maybe you should wait a while before watching some of the horror movies suggested to you, but that's totally up to you!

Why did you start this thread in the first place?

The best thing is ask yourself, would my parents want me asking this question if they were looking over my shoulder, there's your answer. Ryan

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake with Jessica Biel created a really tense atmosphere throughout. At least I thought it did.

THe most frightening ones are the ones that are, or seem to be, real. Any seriel killer movie based on facts, oh, and one called 'Ghostwatch'. It was a fake documentary done in England in the nineties, done like Orson Welles War of the Worlds radio show. Looked real, done by real news people, the only clue was that it was listed in the TV listings as a movie; while it was on, it looked legit. But lots of people just tuned in, and thought all the ghost stuff was real. Some people died, some wound up hospitalized from fear and anxiety. It's available on amazon uk on dvd.

I've watched lots of Japanese movies and the scariest one should be " Ju-on: The Grudge". And from I know, there are American versions as a series which are also scare enough for me.
Plus, here is the one I like the most named "The Doll Master" from Korea. That little girl is so cute:).
