Hello,
I have been investigating secure cloud services for some time now, and I am curious if anyone has suggestions for the absolute most secure one.
Purpose: Find most secure cloud service available to everyday user or business user. I would prefer free, but open to anything. If it turns out that utilizing a hardware/software encrypted USB drive is a better option, I am open to this as well. After hearing that Truecrypt is no longer secure, I have made it an interest to stay up to date with secure methods of storage.
I am mainly trying to secure <5 GB of data such as password backups, receipts, financial information, and maybe a few pictures/videos.
I have seen the add-ons for dropbox and such, but do not really tend to sync my files and leave them on my computer. I would prefer to leave them in the cloud or on a drive separately from my main devices and only accessed as needed.
Please feel free to add suggestions outside of the list below, but here are the one's I have at least heard of. Some I use often but for other purposes:
Google Drive
Onedrive
Mozy
Tresorit
Bitcasa
Copy
Box
Mega
SpiderOak
CrashPlan/Backblaze were of some interest and can be thrown into the mix as well.
I currently use Mega, Box, Tresorit, Bitcasa, Dropbox, and Google Drive. But these are mainly just for various solutions for school or work storage. I would like to find a solution that I can feel safe putting anything on from a list of every password I use in plain text (don't do this..duh) to a picture of my girlfriend.
I use iOS, OS X, and Win 8, but my primary device is Win 8 if this helps.
