Hi everyone. I have searched around and haven't found to much information on my issue. So any help is appreciated.

Basically I was just browsing Steam in the summer sales and the my PC shut down like someone pulled the plug. Then It wouldn't boot... at all no fans, no beeps, nothing.
-------------
I have an

I5 4770k

z87-g41 mobo

I forget the brand of the power supply but a 750w

gtx 770 4gb gigabyte card

1 - 7200 1tb hard drive

1 - 5400 rpm.

and one stick 8gb RAM.
--------------
I tested the PSU doing the paper clip test and with a PSU tester I had. It powered on and seemed to work fine.
GPU tested fine.
Tried different RAM slots but not a different stick.

I can try the psu in a different computer later to make sure its fine.

Any ideas? I know the Mobo is low end and doesn't have great reviews so maybe its that...

Sorry I was updating the information as I accidentally posted it early. No smell everything seems to be fine but powering the board seems to be impossible and I BELIEVE the PSU is fine as it passed a few tests.

I looked that up yesterday and Tried it. I am supposed to short the two small connections for the power switch right? I Tried it with two screw drivers and a paper clip and nothing seemed to happen.

Appreciate the help. I am fairly sure I am doing it correct as I have done it before. Still nothing... Either the board isn't getting power for some reason or obviously something else.
