Hello,
Four days ago I installed an MSI RTX 3080 Ventus OC in my system and also added 2 Silverstone PP07-PCIR PCI power cable extensions. I am running two PCI power lines from the PSU, not splitting one. Since installation the pc speaker issues 4 beeps when I turn on the computer. The system boots fine and runs fine. I get expected performance out of the 3080 and everything else works as before, but I still get the 4 beeps. I don't see anything unusual in the event viewer. From what I have found, 4 beeps indicates system timing failure. I have changed the CMOS battery and pushed in the video card and RAM with no change.
Thank you in advance!
System specs:
AsRock z370 killer sli/ac mobo (original BIOS from 2017)
i7700k
Coolermaster 212 EVO
32 GB (8x4) Gskill Ripjaws V DDR4 2400 RAM
MSI Ventus OC RTX 3080
Corsair RM850x (2 months old)
One m.2 and multiple SSD drives
Windows Home 10 64

- Should I not worry about it because everything is working fine?
- Could in be because my BIOS is a original and it is a PCI 3.0 board with a PCI 4.0 3080 in it?
- How do I trace this issue?
Thank you in advance!
