Motherboard Acting Really Weird

Hello,

So, when I plug my RAM into the slot that is nearest to the CPU, not a single fan on MOBO will turn on and I do not get any video signal to my monitor. Now, when I move this same stick of RAM to the slot next to it, all the fans start spinning but I still do not get any video output. Has anyone been in the same situation?
Should I start looking a new motherboard?

Seems like either the board, the RAM or the PSU is damaged physically, or has some HW fault.

Reset your BIOS by taking out the CMOS battery for like five minutes and putting it back in, or by using a jumper pin on your mobo if it has one.

If everything acts the same, check which part of your build has the fault.

If you have another comp that works fine, or a friend has one that is compatible with your hardware, test every part except the CPU one by one. A comp repair shop you trust, can also help with this. Until the part which has a fault can't be found, it's not easy to find a fix.

I would first clear CMOS (battery as stated above)

Have you checked if there are any bent pins in the CPU socket?

I have taken out the CMOS battery and also used the jumper to make the BIOS reset. PSU is from a working computer and I have taken the CPU out 2 times already to check if any pins are bent. Everything looks just fine.... I would take the MOBO to some IT repair shop for a check up but they ask like 20 euros per component they check, I would rather buy a new MOBO with this kind of money (2x RAM, MOBO and CPU, total of 80 euros) .

That price is totally unreasonable and insane. They do it for free where I am (India). Just check if the RAM is working fine now.

If the RAM is also fine, also check your HDD/CD drives, any PCIe cards like the GPU, an external WiFi/Sound card, etc.

If everything else is fine, it must be the mobo gone bad. You can either get it repaired or buy a new one that's compatible with your CPU.

Or you can start with a fresh build, which will cost a lot.

Thank You for providing me with ideas ! The worst thing is that it is a miner PC so, I have already put a lot of money under it and it is not making any back right now... :/, I will test my RAM tomorrow and write the results I get.

I double checked my RAM in another PC and everything seems to be OK with it. So my MOBO or CPU is probably bad.

If the CPU works too, the motherboard must be at fault, and so you'll have to get a new motherboard, or send the current one for a repair to the manufacture's nearest service center.

Well, that is the tricky part. I have to find a motherboard with LGA1150 socket, my other PC has LGA1151. But I will find a way so I could test my CPU!
