hi guys, this might seem like a silly question but please
try to answer it. different motherboards have different
features, like some have have optional sound and LAN etc.
that means that they have different number of ports and
jacks on the backpanel. so, how can i be sure that my
motherboard fits into a particular case (even if they have
the same formfactor)? i have an asus p4s8x and i am
planning to order a case from an online store. it is an
enermax case for p4 processors. this is the first time i
am building a computer. so i'd be thankful for any help.
thanks.

Hey S,

Most mobos that have a different config layout panel, give you a different metal plate insert to use with your standard rear case openning. All cases come with a standard rear insert that can be easily unclipped & changed. Most mobos use this standard layout, but with addtional features like addtional usb 2 ports & on-board 6 channel sound, most mobos that have a different layout include a new insert to replace the standard insert.

Peace Out................tile

god knows your entire system setup & he would answer your questions if he could just stop laughing
