Can a low powered psu damage a motherboard...i had connected an old 180W psu to gigabyte GA J1800m D2P IN mobo, and it showed no response although it has power in its usb ports.,did the psu damaged the mobo or the mobo was damaged itself 😱....replaced the psu with a new 450W one, will that support it?

Plz help!!...and also review the mobo

Solution
A low wattage PSU should not hurt the board. Unless it is overloaded, dies, and takes something out with it. But it may simply not have sufficient power to start the system if there are devices connected that draw a heavy load. If the new PSU failed to start the system, you may have other issues.
