Motherboard at 85 Degrees?

So after updating to Windows 10 yesterday I reinstalled 920% of stuff on 7 (went for a clean install) including Speccy. Once I had it installed it said my mobo was running at a solid 85 degrees. Yeah, solid. There is literally no fluctuation in temperature at all. This is the new temp whilst idling. However I dont think it is the mobo running at this temp, as soon I saw this I turned it off and opened the case to check for dust on mobo and fans, there was none. This took 20-30 mins as soon as I booted I loaded up Speccy and again it was 85 degrees which leads me to think that its the temperature gauge on the mobo is gone, thats what I hope anyways. The case doesn't feel notably hot either and all my other stuff is running 30-40 degrees. So what do you guys think? Thanks

By the way don't laugh at my mobo, this is the family PC from like 6 years ago with a GPU, runs 90% of things I throw at it.

On a sidenote anyone else getting near constant video driver crashes (Nvida) on WIindows 10?

Fans sound about normal. I did open the case up yesterday again and pointed a household fan on the mobo for about 30 minutes and no change in temperature. As soon as I turned it off, I touched the mobo and it felt fine. Unless I touched a part that doesn't get hot

The motherboard was fine on 7 (I think) not sure if this was an issue yesterday. Just started happening at earliest when I installed Windows 10 so not sure what is up. Scared to play anything just in case it is actually 85 degrees but it a solid 85 (occasionally dips to 84)

Just created a CSGO match offline vs bots, temp stayed at 85 the whole way. It rose to 87 at max whilst playing a round? Shouldn't there be a higher increase in temp? Just my thinking anyways

The motherboard isn't really affected by games because it's just holding the components and for sound, but if it stays at a 85C constantly, you'd need some help to know what is exactly wrong with it otherwise it will get damaged eventually,i'm not an expert at these things, just a normal consumer like you but trying to help :p

I was just thinking that since the processor and GPU are on it that there would be a decent temp increase to reflect the increased heat from the other components. Here is HWMonitor take on things

I am not too clued up on mobos but a temp of -66 degrees? Is that right?

That's at least more reassuring... That is very wrong, and it is likely that the 87c temps you were getting are just sensor errors. If you're feeling ballsy, try opening up the computer and feeling the northbridge part (the metal part) while running at "87c". If it is super hot, then turn it off and you have a problem, if it is not burning you, then you have a bad sensor. Also, are your fans blowing super loud as well?
