hi guys,

sorry about this but i am always trying to find a way to save some money and i have come across motherboard bundles with the 3 things i was going to upgrade, i was originally going to get a cpu, motherboard and rams. i was going to get corsair rgb 16gb ram (£80 to £100), i5 11400 (£160) and asrock b560m pro 4 (£120). as you can see all that comes to £380 and i only have £300.

question is can anyone recommend a motherboard bundle around that price, the main thing i want is argb headers and a reasonable big difference to my set up which is:

Mainboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme 4
Processor: Intel i5 4570S 2.90GHz
Memory: Kingston Hyper Beast 16GB PC3-12800
GPU 1: nVidia GeForce GTX 480
Power: Corsair CX600 Modular
Case: typhoo pro
Hard Disk: Seagate 1TB
ssd: 256gb
hard disk: 2tb

many thanks

Solution
many thnaks, just trying to buy everything in 1 shop, that bottom link is for micro. i went and tried to find the atx version and it was out of stock.

would this be ok?

https://www.scan.co.uk/products/asu...4-pcie-40-sata3-3x-m2-25gbe-ax-bt50-usb-32-at

i understand it is 90 pound out of my budget but i will just have to pay bit more so i can have the things tomorrow.
That Asus board is about as good as it gets, especially if you ever plan on turning off your power limiter and going balls to the walls with that cpu.

If you want to save a few quid here's another board worth having a look at.

many thanks for that, that might be doable.

the rams i would like needs to be argb, i just really like things that lights up.

I5-11400 is a great value.
Your I5-4570S is a low power and low performing processor.
With 4 threads it has a rating of 4923 and a single thread rating of 1980.
I5-11400 has 12 threads and a rating of 17629/3091.
It is the single thread performance that is most important for games.

If the price is too much, the i3-10100 is a good value gamer with 8 threads and a rating of 8949/2648.
Here is a gaming review of the i3-10100:
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/intel-core-i3-10100/15.html

That said, gaming performance is mainly dependent on the graphics card.
It may be more productive to look at a graphics card upgrade first.
Try this simple test:
Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
This makes the graphics card loaf a bit.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

Unfortunately, graphics cards are hard to buy today at reasonable prices.
You might be able to find GTX16xxx or rx570.

For cheaper RGB bling, buy some lighting strips.

many thanks for that

yeah, my gpu is very old but i dont game, i just want to upgrade my pc as i want less wires for rgb. so the only way is changing he mobo which means changing cpu too.

went on scan website and the i3 is 5 pound more than the 11400 but on ebay i3 is about 20 pound cheaper than 11400. i think the only way is buying them 1 or 2 piece at a time,

i can get the 11400 and asrock b560m pro4 now and then the ram i could buy 2nd hand but still new on ebay if that makes sense. open but not used or maybe used for couple of hours.
