Question Motherboard cooling solution screws spin in place, don't fully go in on MSI GE66

So there are these springed screws on the MSI GE66, I used to tighten them in order from 1 to 10. I repasted the laptop 3 times already over the years, I didn't have any problem with these screws until now. After the latest repaste I cannot get the last 3 screws to go all the way in, despite always tightening them in the right order. Every screw goes all the way in, except the ones on 8, 9, 10. Is there any solution to this? Should I go try to do them in reverse order? I'm worried about them not making proper contact with the cpu + gpu.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

If you're tightening each screw to their stopping point and then moving to the next screw to do the same again, please stop and only go along in 90 degree turns for each screw so you're applying even mounting pressure. They're also spring loaded so perhaps you need to guide them for the first few turns.

If I were you, I'd inspect the screws and the screw holes for any cross threading. To add, this would also be a good opportunity to inspect the board and see if perhaps a thermal pad is impeding your cooler's installation.
