Motherboard, CPU and Case Compatibility

So Ive decided to (almost) fully rebuild my pre-built HP computer. NewEgg is having a sale and decided why not do it now.

I picked out the mobo and need a CPU as I realized that the socket types are different. Looking for a decent CPU under 140$

And will the mobo fit in my current case or will I have to upgrade that too?

The HP Case is an ATX case so it will fit your new Motherboard. Any Motherboard with an ATX form-factor will fit inside your current case.

This is a nice Socket AM3+ CPU with 8 Cores and is right on your budget.
