I have an HP Probook 4430s, i5-2410M 2.3GHZ, 646326-001 motherboard.
Problem: won't power on. The power light where the charger plugs in sometimes comes on for a second, either orange or blue/white, no fans or any other sign of life
I have replaced the power cord, the power jack cable, motherboard, and RAM -- no luck.
I haven't heard of CPUs failing, and from my research on here it sounds like there would be some signs of life (fans turn on, etc) if the CPU fails, my problem doesn't fit the typical CPU failure scenario.
Could it be some other cable causing this? Or there is always the possibility that one of my new replacement parts is faulty. I'm close to giving up and buying a new pc.
Thanks in advance!
