Question Motherboard - CPU support

The message I get when doing a PC build: "The ASRock Z690 PG Velocita ATX LGA1700 Motherboard supports the Intel Core i5-13600K 3.5 GHz 14-Core Processor with BIOS version 13.03. If the motherboard is using an older BIOS version, upgrading the BIOS will be necessary to support the CPU"
However does this mean that the motherboard will need to be updated somehow or the build will just likely not be compatible (aka won't work when "Put together")
