Motherboard CPU warning light is on even after replacing CPU and picture won't appear on monitor

I am doing a build and I have a saber tooth motherboard with a AMD fx8350 CPU. I installed everything and it turned on but there was no picture. I tested the graphics card and that works and the warning light for the CPU was on so I replaced the CPU but it still doesn't work. I think it's the mother board but I am not completely sure

Did you plug in the 8 pin power connector just above the PSU.

Is it the connector that is to the left that is right under the PCI slots?

Its at the top of the motherboard just above the VRM heatsink.

Yeah I plugged that in. I have all the connectors needed plugged in.

Ok but do you have any idea why the CPU "warning" light would be on after I have replaced it? And the power supply is working properly. But I'll test another one.

You can get the CPU warning led if the cpu is getting enough power.

Could that lead to not getting the picture as well?

If the cpu isnt getting power the system wont post, the system has to post before you'll get video.
