I have a Z390 Gigabyte Aorus Pro Wifi MoBo and a Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD. Ideally, I'd like to install Windows on the SSD. The motherboard doesn't seem to be recognizing the SSD, it doesn't show up in the BIOS or in the Windows Installer. I've looked around for people who've had similar issues, but haven't been able to find anything. Any ideas?

NVMe SSDs do not appear within the BIOS until Windows creates the system partition with the EFI Boot Sector.

So I have a 7200 rpm HDD that I planned to use as backup storage/bulk storage that I installed Windows on just to make sure all the other components were stable and everything was running ok.

That means I now have Windows running on my HDD; I still don't see my 970 EVO M.2 in the BIOS under the M.2 section. Do you think if I follow what you wrote in this thread that the SSD will appear in BIOS?
