Motherboard Error Code D/04

So recently I have installed a Grid +V2 to control my case fans. However, I am now having issues turning on my PC. The only way I have been able to get it running is funnily enough to remove all my USB devices as well as Ethernet, power on and re-plug all of them in. If I don't do this the PC doesn't post and I see infinite black screens.

When the PC does boot, the (MSI) motherboard displays the error either 04 - Power on South Bridge Initialisation or D4 - PCI Bus Initialisation can't quite distinguish which of the two characters it is.

Either way, is there anyone that could offer some help or insight into this issue.

Thank you.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your culprit system's full specs. List them as:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

That being said, can you recall how long this issue has been going on? Did it materialize after populating the Grid+ v2?
