In a few months I'll be building me a pc but still wondering about the motherboard. I'll be using 2500k, single video card, I will get CM 212 EVO and overclock the CPU but not too much. Most of all I want it to be durable and last long.
After a research I found several options.

Asrock extreme4/extreme6
Gigabyte p67a-ud4-b3
Asus p8p67 pro/evo

It'll be one of those.
Tell me your opinions and thoughts.

Awesome info farrengottu <3
Maybe it was a little bit wrong saying "few months", it'll be exactly one month from now. The difference between the two is not that huge or am I missing something? Still I didn't fully understand what was written in the links you gave me but it seems that 3570k is better and similar pricing. I might wait if it's worth it.

Ontopic, extreme4 motherboard supports Ivy Bridge, so do I really need the new chipset? I don't want/need fancy features that I'll probably never use (like insane fast USB, dual LAN or whatever I don't even know) . Just a rock solid motherboard that holds all parts together, installs win7 and its good to go. As I said in my 1st post, the most important is the durability of the motherboard, should last 3+ years without problems.

of the 3 companies you have listed gigabyte trys the hardest to have its boards last. by using better parts. the asus and gigabyte boards all have 3 year warranties so your kinda covered there. RMA process can suck horribly. but i rarely have a problem.

i would pick the gigabyte of the boards you picked there but they have another board that is better and costs less.

same capabilities, a few more ports and if your video card ever dies you can survive on intel graphics while your replacement arrives. all for like $35 less after the promo code that is.
