I’m looking to build new pc but unsure for cpus i5 13600k or i5 14600k they are same priced but can’t find good decent motherboard that will support 14th gen cpu I know I need to do bios update but unsure if it’s safe will I lose performance as currently I’m looking at this motherboard
ASUS ASUS Strix Z790-H Gaming WiFi ATX Motherboard.

Will it do the job or should I stick with 13th gen budget for motherboard £280

All Intel 600- and 700-series chipsets support 14th gen CPUs, with latest BIOS. Since 14th gen CPUs just launched, it takes a bit of time before new BIOS versions are rolled out.

You could look MoBo Support page and BIOS versions there are, to learn if BIOS that supports 14th gen CPU is released for that specific MoBo.

Thanks for the reply on asus website I seen it shows ASUS Intel 700 series motherboards support 14th, 13th and 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors
So any from the list shows to download bios update that means they support 14th gen from list of the motherboards that are listed
