Hi I was thinkin about gettin a i7 x79 mother board but thought it word b better to get a i7 2600k. My question is this. What would b a good mb for 2600k that is simmer to the x79. I need sumthing I can use for max settings on diablo 3 but most important is audio music production. I think I will be using 16gb+ ram. What are your reqs for a good mother board. So I can do most of the things for best performance? Or should I just stick with the x79 ( I think it has better feature proof. Perfect for gaming and music production ) I would most likely b using a gtx-580 or wait for the 600 series. ( 1 for now and maby duel later on ) I don't do ne vid editing so idk how much gpu power I need.

Ps : just d3 on max settings and audio production like making beats / recording / mixing n etc.

I kno x79 is a diff CPU. Was asking would gettin x79 be better for me or would the 2600k mb set up be as good? Duel memory vs quad channel. Pci 2.0 vs 3.0

Does x79 have something better then the 2600k set up

I'm on phone so I'm not being 2 Clare. " for music production ". Should I get 2600k with z68 mobo or i7 3930k with x79 mobo. Which will give me better production? How muc better is x79 set up vs z68 setup.

I think x79 is 50% better... Correct me if I'm wrong.
Gaming is not increased with x79 but multiple tasking is?

Here's some benchmarks, showing only a 2 to 9.6% gain over the i7 980x: http://wccftech.com/intels-sandy-bridgee-benchmarks-unveiled-core-i7-3930k-es-pitted-core-i7-980x/. Here's another set of benchmarks comparing the e series to the 2600k, again showing only a small percentage gain: link isn't working, but more benchmarks are on guruht.com. It's your money, spend it wisely.
