Hello,

I'm building a system based around the i9-10980XE. I've narrowed the motherboard down to the following two:

GIGABYTE X299X AORUS MASTER
vs
ASUS Pro WS X299 SAGE II

Additional Specs:
256 GB RAM
2 x 3090 cards (note each motherboard will allow 1 PCIe space in between the two cards (taking into account the triple slot card)).

Looking to see if I may have overlooked anything with comparing these two boards. Any opinions on which board would perform better?

Thanks!

I'd pick the Asus board among those two. You sure you have the storage, chassis and PSU sectors covered?

Thanks for the feedback. Why would you go with the ASUS? For the case, I'm going with the Fractal Design Define 7 XL ATX Full Tower Case, and an EVGA SuperNOVA T2 1600 Watt PSU.

Additionaly, planning to have:
2 x Western Digital SN750 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
6 x Seagate Exos X14 12 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (or equivalent)
2 x G.Skill Ripjaws V 128 GB (4 x 32 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory
1 x Fractal Design Celsius S36 Blackout (front mounted)
Will be upgrading most fans to Noctua NF-A14 140mm PWM Fans.
Noctua fans for exhaust: three on the top, one or two on the bottom (depending on spacing) and one on the back. May also replace the 3 AIO fans with these Noctua fans depending on the results of stress testing.

Since I'm waiting on the 3090's, I have time to research and tweak as needed before building. Partly why I decided to post regarding the motherboard.
