Hello,

I am planning to assemble a mid-range gaming pc. Mostly for playing Dota2 in 1080p resolution in high settings. This is my current part list. Note that I won't be overclocking and stuff, hence this processor.

PC PartPicker - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/FB7FWZ

CPU: Intel Skylake i5 6400 - 2.7Ghz
Ram: Crucial Technology 8GB DDR4 PC4-17000 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.2V
Cabinet: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01 Mid Tower Gaming Case CC-9011050-WW
Graphic Card: MSI GeForce GTX 950 OC 2GB GDDR5 Video Card
HDD: WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD10EZEX - OEM
PSU: EVGA 400W
Motherboard: ?? ($50 - $75)

Questions:
1.) Am I missing any parts that are needed for this config?
2.) Does the above components complement each other well? I mean I don't want one part to be a huge bottleneck so that another part's performance wont be fully utilized.
3.) Can anyone please give me a motherboard suggestion which suits for the above configuration between $50-$75?
4.) Does it make sense to choose a Mini/Micro ATX Motherboard for an ATX cabinet? For example, I have these two in mind -

  • MSI Intel Skylake B150 LGA 1151 DDR4 USB 3.1 Micro ATX Motherboard (B150M Pro-VD)
Gigabyte GA-H110M-A LGA 1151 mATX Motherboard
    Which one is better?
Please let me know.

Thanks.

Thank you for your reply. The MSI Graphic card was on a good deal, that's why I chose that. I will probably look for the same company between my motherboard and graphic card. Btw, the motherboard you have suggested is a beast, however its twice the price than what's in my budget. I apologize, I should have added my price limitations in my original post. I have added it now. What difference does it make to get a pricy motherboard($115+) than a normal one ($50-$75)? Of course, there will be more RAM, PCI, USB, mc2 slots and over clocking capabilities. Other than these are there any other advantages?
Regarding the RAM, if I go for budget motherboards I might end up having two slots, so I went for a single 8GB RAM(might add one more later)
I have also updated my main post with couple of motherboards which fits my budget. Please take a look and give me your suggestions if you have any.

Thanks!
