Question Motherboard is flashing red CPUERR_LED3 with Dual E5-2620 V4 Xeon CPUs ?

Hi,

I installed a second CPU on my ASUS Z10PE-D16 WS motherboard, and it boots up and goes to OS - Windows 2019 DE. I installed VMware workstation, which has 10 VMs on it, and when I powered on the VMs one by one, the MB started flashing red in CPUERR_LED3.

I tried each processor one by one in CPU1, and both are running properly and have the same configuration: Intel Xeon E5-2620 V4 at 2.10GHz.

Could you please tell me what the problem is?

I'm not super knowledgeable in the server hardware scene, but maybe I can point you in the right direction. I just may not be able to help you further.

According to page 2-22 of the manual(clickable), the ERR_CPU3 LED does not exist. Are you sure it's CPU3 that you see? Or could it be 2?

On page 2-24 you can see the Q-Code LED display. Can you make sense of the code that is being shown on that?

I don't know if you could test both processors one by one in the CPU2 slot, to see if that works. I don't know if CPU1 needs to be populated primarily for the system to work. The manual doesn't mention anything about it.
