Motherboard LED's not turning on, wondering if it's fried?

Motherboard used to have a strong backlit glow, as of last night its no longer lighting up. PSU powers on, powers GPU, all fans running quite high when turned on. When I unplugged RAM and restarted, no beeps signaling an issue. Unplugged the HDMI from the GPU and used onboard HDMI with the same screen message "no signal to HDMI".

Can power still flow through the MOBO even if it's fried? I've unplugged the direct PSU > GPU power and the GPU still lights up when attached only to the MOBO. At this point I'm too much of an amateur to know what exactly the issue is, but I'm assuming the MOBO needs a replacement even though all the fans and GPU are turning on.
