I just recently installed Windows 7 on a new 120GB Intel SSD on AHCI Mode. Everything went fine, until a day later. My computer was set to go to sleep after 30mins, and after being left idle for that time, went to sleep. When it went to sleep, the computer BSOD'ed and then restarted. When it restarted, it said something like "Select proper boot device". When I restarted it after that, everything seemed fine, but this happens every time I put it to sleep. I have heard that there are sleep issues with SSD's though. However, when I got back into windows, the network adapter was not being detected. There wasn't even a section for network adapters in device manager. I tried installing the drivers numerous times for the network card, which is built into the board. None of this worked. It still says that no network adapter is detected. I've even tried installing the chipset for the board (Which I thought windows 7 did anyways.), and flashing the BIOS.
However, when I clicked view-->show hidden devices-in device manager, "Network Adapter" appeared, but it shows a bunch of stuff I don't understand. I have attached the image. I have been suspecting that my board has been dying for a while now. It also too frequently doesn't find the ssd or hdd and has to be restarted. Does this have anything to do with the board?
Here is my set up:
Windows 7 Home 64 Bit
ASUS P5QL PRO
Core 2 duo E8400
Intel 120GB SSD
8GB DDR2 RAM
XFX 650W PRO650W
