Hi Tom,

My son and I have put together a new build with the components listed below. Got windows 10 installed and installed drivers for motherboard. Went to download drivers for GPU from disk and website but keeps saying it can’t find compatible hardware. Have tried updating bios and making sure PEG is selected. The only way we get video is by using the motherboard. I thought the GPU was broken so I returned it and got a new one. Same issues. I have even tried all of the settings on the monitor for the different inputs. I have checked in device manager and the GPU is not there even under the hidden tab. Any advice would be great!

Case: Rosewill Dual Fans Ram Memory: Ballistix Sport LT 8GB
CPU Processor: Intel Core i5-7500 Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ PSU
Motherboard: MSI B250M PRO-VD Hard Drive: WD Blue 1TB
Graphic Card: ZOTAC GTX 1060 3GB CD/DVD Drive: LG Super Multi Drive

Perhaps, if it did not work with both cards, the PCI-Express slot is broken? Make sure you are putting the GPU in the slot with the holding pin. Or try RMAing the board and getting a new one. (The PCI-Express slot is the slot in the board you put the GPU in). Hope this helped!

Yes it is fully seated and the 6-pin power cord is connected. Have tried taking it out, restarting windows, and restarting computer after re-installing GPU. Still device manager does not detect it. Even tried installing drivers from nvidea again but still gt error that compatible hardware is not detected.
