I have a GTX 970 that cant display anything onscreen. Both 6 pin connectors are plugged in, The fans are spinning, but... nothing. It's not showing up on Device Manager. I used to have a 960 that worked fine but this isnt.

Have you reinstalled your Nvidia drivers? Since you were already using a GTX960, those currently installed are the ones of the 960 and must be changed. If your HDMI/DVI cable is currently plugged into the card's slots, and you get an image, then it's windows that isn't recognizing the GPU.

What MB and CPU? Check your bios settings for onboard video setting options if CPU and MB are equipped. Maybe you can disable integrated graphics and boot with monitor connected to card.

Even with the GTX 960 drivers installed the new card would still display.

You said the card does not show up on the device manager but what are you using to even be able to see device manager?? Are you using the IGPU....

It would be super helpful if you had posted your full system specs so we know if maybe the PSU is the issue as the GTX 970 requires 500w+ PSU. It could even be the OS as i have seen a lot of windows 8, 8.1 and windows 10 display issues over the past months. I never see windows 7 display issues (I have windows 7)

List specs please...
