Ok so about 2 months ago I purchased an MSI R7 370 4gb and it has been working perfectly. Last month it broke and i sent it back and it just came back. Now when i plug the dvi in the graphics card i dont get anything but a black screen but when i plug the dvi in the motherboard i get signal and it works. Is this a motherboard problem or a graphics card problem.
do you have onboard graphics or a different card?
I have Onboard graphics
switch to onboard graphics and uninstall the AMD drivers with DDU
Ok but how do you uninstall amd drivers
http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html, download the file, let it take you safemode and once there it will pop on its own from there click clean and restart and then download the AMD drivers
Ok ill try that tomorrow morning but is buying a new motherboard a good idea?
i've had problems like these before, never replaced the motherboard and still fixed the issue, ive helped other people with same process but makes it a little more complicated
Ok so I uninstalled the amd display drivers using ddu and still the only graphics i see in device manager is the onboard graphics and i dont see anything that says msi r7 370 or even a generic graphics adapter even tho the fans are spinning
Fans will always spin, when the card is plugged in, all graphics card come with a "stock" driver that they come with, for example one of my 7950 3gb responses right away when the computer turns on even without drivers downloaded, thats because it has the latest bios, now this is either a faulty card or can be old bios for the card, or maybe bad drivers.
