Hello, I don't know what this thread is really under but, I yesterday I bought a MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate Motherboard, And a i7-4790 CPU.

When I was installing everything it was fine, I go to turn on the computer and my PSU Turned on and lit up my LED's and fans turned on for a second and then back off. I moved around the 24+6 Pin connector from the PSU. I needed it to get into a certain location for the computer to turn on.

Once I got that to work My Moniter would not display anything. I read up on some sites and they said remove a stick of RAM, I removed it and then my display powered up :) Then I shut the computer off to add the 2nd stick back, then I added it back. No display, took it out again, no display.

Any Help?

Sorry for the the confusion, I really need to fix this soon because I need to get back to Streaming.

Solution
The motherboard use a 24 pin and an 8 pin. If you are trying to use 6 pin pci-e connector instead of the 8 pin eps that's going to cause problems and could damage the board and psu. Another possible issue is the bios, if the board is running an older bios it won't work with a 4790 till its updated.

Solution
My msi mpower has 3x power hookups. 24pin main, 8 pin eps in top left corner and a 6 pin VGA next to the 24 pin slot.

The 24 pin (20+4) is a necessity (obviously).
The 8 pin (4+4) is a necessity (supplementary power for cpu, USB, VRM's and some other things)
The 6 pin is not a necessity, but an option. It supplies supplementary power to the pcie slots and is used primarily to alleviate stressful voltages and amperages due to OC or sli or both.
