Motherboard not powering up after connecting iPhone

Hello community:

A few days ago, I connected my iPhone 8 to charge through USB. After a short while I noticed a burnt electronics smell and it was my iPhone and the computer had turned off. I have a Asus P755D-E Deluxe and it won’t turn on again, after that event.

When I turn the PSU on the power button on the mobo turns on, but when I press it nothing happens.

Is the mobo completely damaged and garbage or is there a way to fix it?

Is there any on-screen information on the screen on boot-up?

Also, does the computer turn off shortly after turning on? Do the fans spin up and everything?
