Motherboard not seeing GPU help!

I just built my new PC last night and my motherboard isn't recognizing my graphics card whatsoever. I updated the BIOS and checked to make sure the card was fully plugged in.

I'm using a MSI Z97 G-45 Motherboard and a MSI GTX 970. Any ideas?
I'm using on-board graphics right now.

It was the power cable.
